Cloud Platform Engineer / DevOps Technical Lead

What we're looking for A Cloud Platform Engineer / DevOps Technical Lead to join an international project with the following conditions:

Location: Braga (mandatory residency in Portugal)

Working model: Hybrid (2 days per week on‑site)

English level: C1 (mandatory)

Main responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the DevOps team, promoting engineering best practices
• Design, deploy and maintain scalable and reliable AWS cloud infrastructure
• Implement and evolve Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation and AWS CDK
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using CodePipeline and CodeBuild
• Drive automation across build, testing, deployment and operational processes
• Support event‑driven architectures and distributed systems
• Ensure availability, scalability, performance, security and reliability of cloud environments
• Modernise legacy systems and adopt cloud‑native architectures
• Improve monitoring, logging and observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus and Grafana
• Introduce AI‑driven capabilities to enhance engineering productivity
• Collaborate with architecture, development and business stakeholders in an international environment
• Promote DevOps, Cloud, Security and IaC best practices across teams

• Strong experience with Terraform and multi‑account governance
• Hands‑on experience with ECS Fargate, RDS Aurora and ElastiCache
• Knowledge of Python and Bash
• Experience with security frameworks such as NIST 800‑53
• Experience with Trivy, Checkov and Prisma Cloud
• Experience with Kubernetes (nice‑to‑have)
• Experience with AI‑enabled engineering workflows (Claude Code, Codex)
• English level C1
