  • Institutional Banking (“CIB”) with full transparency and dynamic analysis and monitoring of market, counterparty, liquidity risks originated and managed by CIB GM and of credit risks on Financial Institutions to assist them in their risk decision making and monitoring.The role reports to the Market &
  • Liquidity Risk - DM Rates and Fixed Income Repo team (aka, MLR-DM &
  • Repo).The Market Risk analyst on DM Rates and Fixed Income Repo articulates the market risk opinion about the trading desk activities to their management. They are the point of contact of the trading desks related to market risk topics. They review and opine on the market risks views form the trading desks. The analyst is key in anticipating and detecting pockets of market risks for the DM Rates and Fixed Income Repo activities. They are alco accountable for improvements to the market risk framework impacting their scope. The MLR-DM &
  • Repo team regularly interacts with all other market risk teams (of which the methodologies, monitoring and validation ones), with trading desks representants, with the quantitative research, the valuation risk teams and with RISK IT. We are looking for a quantitative profile who’s developed an understanding of the financial market products and their market risk dynamics.

Your Main Activities Are

• Understand the valuation, risk and P&L of business line activities in the context of current, past and potential market conditions
• Animate Main Position meetings and other forums with the DM Rates and Fixed Income Repo desks, provide independent risk analysis and opinion, escalation of risk topics, and challenge to the business view
• Provide accurate and appropriate risk information and opinion to senior management forums. Escalate risk topics to senior management as needed
• Perform in-depth, ad hoc analysis, formulating an opinion and escalating as needed, while judging priority, on all market risk topics affecting the business line
• Analyse the risks with the tools available and drive the improvements of those tools
• Develop and adapt Stress Tests to the trading desks positioning and their market environment
• Review and opine on the market risk of exceptional transactions

Profile And Skills To Success

• Master’s degree in finance, Applied Mathematics, Science or Engineering
• 0 to 5 years of working experience in market risk or counterparty risk with an applied knowledge in derivatives and their risk management
• Excellent analytical capabilities
• On programming skills, a working knowledge of Python is essential
• Ability to ensure the precision, accuracy and thoroughness of the information manipulated or delivered
• Ability to synthetize information from diverse sources
• Motivation to collaborate and share ideas and knowledge with team members
• Understands clients’ needs and values constructive and positive feedback
• Ability to manage time, to plan, structure, prioritize and coordinate activities and resources effectively to reach objectives
• Active in suggesting ideas and improvements and demonstrating curiosity
