We are currently recruiting a Financial Business Analyst (FIP) on behalf of a world-wide Financial Institution/Bank. In this role, you will join the local Finance Implementation Projects (FIP) department in Lisbon, driving large-scale financial transformations, managing complex financial interfaces , and acting as the vital link between business operations and core finance IT streams.

Your mission is to ensure the smooth execution of critical projects. You will handle functional solutions connecting business operating systems with finance systems , collaborating directly with major reporting streams: Financial Accounting and Management Accounting.

Lead the development and management of functional solutions for financial interfaces connecting business operations to corporate finance systems.

Project Management & Stakeholder Alignment

• Daily Collaboration: Work in daily cooperation with FIP Project Managers across all project phases, respecting central FIP methodologies.
  
• Milestone & Budget Control: Respect project milestones and related budgets, proactively contributing to workaround solutions if any issue impacts the critical path.
  
• Governance & Reporting: Produce regular project status reports for the FIP Project Manager and Team Leader, and actively participate in project committees.
  
  

  Functional Specification & Implementation
  

  
  
  • Data & Accounting Design: Define operational/accounting schemes and control frameworks based on the global needs expressed during pre-studies. Define data flow structures to properly feed finance systems.
    
  • Technical Liaison: Document clear functional specifications for solutions to be implemented by other teams (Operating Systems IT, Financial IT systems, and FIP Engineering for accounting interpreter parametrization).
    
  • Chart of Accounts: Set up and manage evolutions in the chart of accounts whenever required by the adopted solution.
    
  • Delivery Coordination: Coordinate tasks and actions from diverse stakeholders to ensure the "time to market" of the delivery.
    
    

    Testing & Support
    

    
    
    • Quality Assurance: Contribute to the overall testing strategy and personally carry out all accounting and reporting test phases under FIP responsibility.
      
    • Aftercare & Maintenance: Provide dedicated post-implementation support for reporting end-users and manage ongoing requests in project mode according to corporate priorities.
      
      

      competências

      
      
      • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
        
      • Experience: 1-4 years of overall professional experience in relevant banking, accounting, or finance areas.
        
      • Technical & Domain Knowledge:
        
        
        
        • Solid experience with Project Management frameworks.
          
        • Deep knowledge of Financial Information Systems and advanced, expert-level MS Excel skills.
          
        • Strong knowledge of banking products or capital markets products.
          
        • Good understanding of general accounting and/or banking accounting (highly valued / a plus).
          
          
          
        • Languages:
          
          
          
          • English: Expert / Fluent level (C1 minimum) is mandatory.
            
          • Portuguese: Practical / Working knowledge (B2 level) for daily operational use.
            
            
            
          • Soft Skills: Results-driven mindset with a proven ability to deliver , exceptional attention to detail , strong problem-solving skills , and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across global functions.
