Java Backend Developer Senior

We are looking for a Java Backend Developer Senior to join a hybrid project in Lisbon.

Salary range: 43 150,00€ - 43 600,00€ annual gross.

Profile:
- Around 8 years of professional experience in backend development using Java;
- Solid experience in the design and implementation of complex and scalable microservices;
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, development patterns and engineering best practices;
- Experience with IAM (Identity and Access Management), notably Keycloak, Okta and OIDC;
- Knowledge of the design and implementation of Keycloak realms, Okta federation and OIDC flows;
- Experience in identifying and resolving performance, scalability and security issues;
- Experience with code quality and security tools, notably SonarQube and Snyk;
- Experience in code reviews and defining quality gates;
- Ability to provide technical leadership and mentor developers;
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders;
- Fluency in Portuguese and English (C1).

Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of complex Java microservices within the context of Unified Commerce products;
- Define and ensure the application of architectural standards, coding standards and security practices within the team;
- Take technical lead on the IAM strategy, including the design of Keycloak realms, federation with Okta and OIDC flow architecture;
- Participate in technical discussions with Product Owners and Architects, representing the engineering team;
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges and security vulnerabilities;
- Lead code review processes and establish quality gates, promoting the use of SonarQube and Snyk;
- Guide and mentor Confirmed and Junior developers, contributing to their technical development;
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, including Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and runbooks;
- Contribute to the definition and development of the team’s engineering standards and best practices;
- Participate in technical and architectural decisions, ensuring robust, scalable and secure solutions.
