SENIOR ACCOUNTING AUDITOR

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Senior Accounting Auditor with experience in accounting control, or audit, within the banking and financial sector. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing accounting control frameworks, ensuring compliance with established control plans, monitoring accounting certifications, and contributing to risk mitigation and governance activities across multiple entities and regions. You will work closely with finance stakeholders and senior management to strengthen accounting control practices and ensure the effectiveness of financial governance processes.

What You Will Do On a Daily Basis

• Acquire a strong understanding of accounting control frameworks and assess the quality of controls across assigned entities and regions.
• Ensure the implementation, monitoring, and effectiveness of accounting control plans and perform oversight reviews of local control environments.
• Identify, assess, and report accounting control deficiencies, supporting remediation plans and governance reporting.
• Analyse accounting certifications, evaluate control processes, and contribute to the preparation of management reports.
• Monitor audit recommendations, operational risk incidents, and participate in internal control and financial risk committee activities.

Your Key Skills

• Strong accounting expertise and knowledge of financial control frameworks.
• Experience in accounting control, finance, or audit environments.
• Ability to analyse complex financial and accounting processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and critical thinking mindset.

Your Main Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in control, finance, or audit.
• Previous experience within the banking and/or financial sector is highly valued.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Ability to work with governance bodies, finance teams, and multiple stakeholders.
• Advanced level of English (written and spoken).
