Senior DevOps / ELK Engineer

We are looking for a Senior DevOps / ELK Engineer  to join a hybrid project in  Lisbon.

Salary range: 42.250€ - 51.700€ annual gross.

Profile:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or technical equivalent;
- 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in IT environments focusing on observability and production support;
- Deep expertise in the Elastic Stack (Beats, Elastic Agents, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana) and OpenTelemetry standards;
- Solid background in logs, metrics, traces, golden signals, alerting configuration, and dashboard creation;
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git, UCD, Ansible) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes);
- Operating system proficiency: Linux and Windows (fundamentals, shell, metrics);
- Familiarity with RBAC, access management, REST APIs, and basic security controls;
- Elastic certifications and Microsoft Azure experience are a strong plus;
- Professional English C1 (mandatory); French or Dutch is a plus;
- EU/Schengen nationality or valid legal work permit for Portugal (Lisbon hybrid model, CET aligned).

Responsibilities:
- Design, build, optimize, and maintain the Elastic Stack across Mainframe, Open Systems, and Container platforms;
- Drive observability standards, managing indexing efficiency, log retention policies, data lifecycle, and security controls;
- Integrate observability solutions into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development and operations teams;
- Establish application monitoring governance, coding guidelines, and best practices across the organization;
- Lead production troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), P1/P2 incident handling, and release execution;
- Coach and mentor team members to accelerate adoption of new observability solutions;
- Collaborate with Product Owners to estimate effort, design value-driven roadmaps, and report project progress.
