Senior M365 System Administrator (m/f/d) MI-GP

As a Senior M365 System Administrator (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the administration, security, and governance of Microsoft 365 collaboration services, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365 Copilot. You will partner with Identity, Security, Compliance, and Infrastructure teams to implement access controls, data protection, and platform standards, while leading automation and migration initiatives. You will also act as a senior technical escalation point and mentor for Level 1/2 support teams, driving knowledge sharing and ensuring a high standard of operational support across the enterprise.

• Administer and govern Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365 Copilot, with a focus on adoption and usage.
• Design and implement security and governance controls, including permissions, sharing policies, Conditional Access alignment, sensitivity labels, DLP, and retention policies, in partnership with Security and Compliance teams.
• Assess the impact of Microsoft Entra on collaboration services, including Microsoft 365 Groups, B2B guest access, application permissions, Conditional Access, and authentication dependencies.
• Monitor platform health, performance, compliance, and governance risks, including permission drift, unmanaged sharing, and inactive or ownerless workspaces; coordinate remediation with workspace owners and relevant teams.
• Assess business and technical requirements and recommend platform configurations and integrations, including third-party and custom solutions within the M365 ecosystem.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex, cross-team incidents, working with Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, Application teams, and Microsoft or third-party suppliers when escalation is required.
• Act as a technical mentor and escalation point for Level 1/2 teams, maintaining documentation, runbooks, configuration standards, architecture diagrams, and knowledge-base content while supporting coaching and knowledge transfer.
• Track Microsoft Message Center and roadmap changes, assess their technical and operational impact, coordinate testing, and support stakeholder communication and adoption.

• Deep, hands-on experience administering Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business, including architecture, governance, and day-to-day operations.
• Strong understanding of the Microsoft 365 collaboration and productivity ecosystem, with a platform-ownership mindset and attention to detail, plus experience working in multi-geo and/or multi-tenant environments.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra collaboration services, including groups, guest identities, enterprise applications, app registrations, RBAC, application permissions, authentication, and Conditional Access.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, including sensitivity labels, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), retention policies, and compliance controls.
• Expert PowerShell skills for automation, reporting, and enterprise-scale migrations, including PnP.PowerShell and Microsoft Graph PowerShell SDK; experience with Microsoft Graph API, third-party integrations, and modern cloud architectures.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD, Git, DevOps, change management, and ITSM, including JSM and ITIL-aligned practices; familiarity with Jira Service Management and Confluence.
• Experience with Azure automation and development, including Azure Automation, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, and Logic Apps, as well as managing Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android and Windows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proactive evaluation of emerging technologies, clear communication in spoken and written English, and the ability to mentor engineers, act as a technical escalation point, and make architecture/configuration decisions independently within governance guardrails. Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, MS-700, SC-401, or equivalent are also valued.
