Senior Site Reliability Engineer

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at OutSystems, you will define and drive the reliability, scalability, and security architecture across our mission-critical platform. You will serve as a technical leader, partnering with development organizations to embed reliability practices, design resilient cloud-native infrastructure, and institute platform-wide observability. This role offers the opportunity to mentor engineering talent and shape the future of our production operations at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and standardize SLO/SLI frameworks and error-budget policies across multiple engineering groups.
• Lead the design and rollout of secure, scalable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud-native Kubernetes environments.
• Drive observability strategy by evaluating, implementing, and optimizing telemetry solutions across distributed systems.
• Act as Incident Commander during critical system events, leading post-incident reviews and driving systemic mitigation strategies.
• Build core automation frameworks and platform tools (in Python or Go) that eliminate operational friction and enforce security compliance automatically.
• Mentor and advise software and reliability engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Must-Have Requirements

• Demonstrated Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience managing high-throughput distributed systems and cloud infrastructure at scale.
• Technical Mastery: Advanced expertise in Kubernetes, Linux internals, cloud networking, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, AWS).
• Software Engineering: Strong proficiency in high-level programming languages (Python or Go) for building automation tools and system integrations.
• Incident & Reliability Leadership: Proven track record leading incident response, blameless post-mortems, and root-cause prevention across complex architectures.
• Education & Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-Have Requirements

• Professional certifications in Kubernetes (CKA, CKS) or cloud providers (AWS Solutions Architect).
• Deep understanding of compliance and security frameworks (SOC 2, CIS benchmarks) embedded directly into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience leveraging Gen AI tools to accelerate development workflows and diagnostic automation.
