Sr. Golang Developer - remote from Europe and India

We are looking for a Senior Golang Developer who will play a central role in building the foundation of our backend systems, including the infrastructure that connects our AI systems to production data and services. You'll help build and support the MCP (Model Context Protocol) layer that lets AI agents safely and reliably interact with our core systems.

This is an influential role in our Tech team, sitting at the intersection of our core backend and our emerging AI initiatives. We're looking for an experienced individual who relishes the chance to challenge themselves in a progressive tech environment, with plenty of scope to shape how AI safely integrates with production systems as we look to double the size of the team.

What you'll do...

• Play a central role in building the foundation of the Ennismore backend system
• Write services using Golang, using Connect (gRPC) for inter-service communication, Temporal for async communication, Kubernetes to orchestrate and manage applications, Argo and GitHub Actions to run the CI/CD pipeline, and AWS as cloud provider
• Contribute to our MCP (Model Context Protocol) layer, helping build the integrations and tool contracts that let AI agents safely interact with our core systems
• Work closely with the team driving our wider AI initiatives, gaining exposure to how AI agents are integrated into production systems
• Work in an agile environment (comfortable estimating tickets and working in sprints)

What we're looking for...

• Passionate about technology, with a breadth of professional experience using Golang (amongst others)
• Ability to write straightforward, well engineered, fully tested and reliable code
• Experience with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes and GitHub Actions)
• An understanding of AWS
• Exposure to the gRPC framework or similar
• Experience with microservice architecture
• An understanding of, and interest in, AI and MCP (Model Context Protocol) — no prior hands-on experience required
• Ideally, some understanding of or hands-on experience with TypeScript
