Your role

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients – which means some of the biggest in the world.

What you will do

• Manage and maintain client systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security compliance.

• Monitor and administer systems data, providing day-to-day operational support and solutions.

• Allocate specialized skills effectively while coaching team members toward high performance.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and smooth handoffs.

•Oversee and prioritize a queue of assignments and service tickets to ensure timely resolution.

• Implement and support security and compliance requirements across managed environments.

•Provide proactive recommendations and solutions to enhance system stability and client satisfaction.

• Ensure high-quality service delivery while meeting established service level agreements (SLAs).

You are an experienced infrastructure professional with a strong technical background and a passion for continuous improvement. You are customer-focused, committed to operational excellence, and capable of working collaboratively across global teams. You demonstrate strong analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Oracle Database Administration (11g, 12c, 19c and above)

• Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard and RMAN Backup & Recovery

• PostgreSQL Database Administration and Performance Tuning

• Linux Administration (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux, CentOS) and Linux Shell Scripting (Bash)

• Database Installation, Configuration, Patching and Upgrades.

• Database Performance Analysis and Capacity Management.

• High Availability and Disaster Recovery Solutions

• Security Hardening and Vulnerability Remediation.

• Experience supporting mission-critical production environments

• English knowledge B2/C1

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Oracle Exadata administration
• PostgreSQL Replication and High Availability Solutions
• Automation using Ansible, Python or Shell Scripting
• Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS or OCI)
• Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift)

• Monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, OEM or Prometheus
• ITIL Foundation certification
• Experience in Banking or Financial Services environments
• Knowledge of DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Experience with database migration and modernization projects
