Tools Software Developer

Job Description Miniclip is looking for a Junior Tools Software Developer to join our team in our Lisbon Games Development Studio.

This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring, growth-oriented developer to kickstart their career within an agile, highly effective, and skilled team. You will work alongside experienced developers responsible for supporting the Live Operations team which delivers in-game promotional campaigns, new content, and exciting events to our tens of millions of users!

What will you be doing at Miniclip? Your work will include

• Creating and maintaining automation tools to minimize manual steps necessary to execute the Product LiveOps strategy
• Developing robust and scalable solutions to complex problems by using and improving existing in-house technology
• Deciding what is worth building or improving, prioritizing your work, and reasoning about the trade-offs you make
• Participating in team activities to develop new concepts for promotional campaigns, temporary events and in-game content
• Working together with a multi-disciplinary and highly motivated agile scrum development team, including marketing, artists, quality assurance testers, release managers, and others
• Acting upon opportunities and needs, supporting the development of new features and resolving internal systems bugs and limitations

• Significant projects focused on tool/script development or automation preferably using Python.
• A solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
• Excellent problem-solving skills through analytical, systematical or intuitive approaches
• Deep curiosity, enthusiasm for learning new technologies, and a drive to constantly improve your code quality
• A clear understanding of how to use AI effectively in your day-to-day work
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in English

The following skills are desirable but not essential (if you have them, don’t forget to mention them)

• LiveOps systems knowledge
• Jenkins or other CI/CD software knowledge
• C++ is a plus but not required
• Background in a technical area within Mobile Game Development (Software Development, Quality Assurance, other)
