Workday Technical Lead

We are hiring a Workday Technical Lead to join the global HRIS team. This is a senior, high-impact role with full technical ownership of the Workday platform and its integration landscape, in a truly international environment.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead the design, development and orchestration of a complex integration landscape across diverse enterprise systems
• Drive the technical evolution of the Workday platform, proposing optimisations and the best setup to fulfil business needs
• Build and manage AI-enhanced operational layers including data pipelines, integration scripts and security protocols that allow AI agents to interact safely with core HR data
• Lead the structured evaluation and task-level breakdown of Workday AI capabilities
• Co-animate business workshops alongside the business analyst, championing standard Workday approaches and managing complex requests
• Stay updated on new Workday features and modules, analysing capabilities and recommending relevant tools
• Organise training sessions focused on new features and operational best practices for the team
• Ensure technical consistency across the platform in accordance with Workday and internal guidelines
• Define local best practices, assess workloads for cost and schedule commitments and write technical specifications

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Workday technical roles
• Deep technical knowledge of Workday Core HCM, Workday Studio, Workday Extend and Cloud Connect including PECI frameworks
• Strong experience with API testing tools, cloud-native infrastructure, web service protocols and secure token authentication
• Technical proficiency in XML, Eclipse and core development languages such as Java or C#
• Familiarity with Agentic AI frameworks, LLM integration patterns, RAG pipeline architecture and automated workflow design
• Rigorous, quality-focused with strong pedagogy for mentoring others
• Proactive, with clear communication skills and ability to report progress to senior management
• Fluent English, mandatory
